Thinking about completing online surveys
Anyone with internet access and some free time can make money by doing paid surveys online. Of course, not all online paid survey sites are legitimate, but we only review the best and legit ones.

Every day I get so many questions on my Quora page about paid surveys to earn money online.

Most people ask me whether online paid surveys are legit or how to make money fast. Someone actually asked how to make money within 30 minutes! 😳

So you can imagine everyone wants to make money, but often they don’t have the investment or skills to start something.

Most importantly, people are scared of scam sites because they are interested in trying something easy to make quick money but often get into sh*t. Well, not here mister! 😄

For over four years, I personally have been taking online surveys from 100% legit sites, but I made so many mistakes and came across scam sites.

That’s why I made this list of the most common questions I get asked about paid online surveys.

Quickly understand everything about paid surveys without wasting your time.

🤒 Did I tell you that I hate scams and scammers?

⭐ Online Paid Surveys FAQs

Online paid surveys are questionnaires that you complete where you are paid for your participation in the research.

This is basically how paid surveys work, although the surveys themselves can vary in length, topic and rewards.

Survey sites may also offer more ways than just a survey to earn money. While making money with surveys is great, some sites give you points for watching videos, playing games and you can even earn cash by referring friends.

When you compare survey sites, you’ll want to focus on how much they pay, how they pay, and how reliable the paid surveys compared to other sites.

Anyone with internet access and some free time can make money by doing surveys online.

Some websites are only available in a specific nation, which can be limiting for Australians or other nationals.

Companies, governments, non-profits, and academia pay market research companies to survey their audiences about new products and services, as well as their attitudes and behaviours. Market research companies most typically offer these surveys to their database of survey respondents (also known as a “panel”).

It is completely free to join these panels, and those who do so are paid for the surveys they complete successfully. Payments via PayPal, gift cards, or even bitcoin might be supplied as compensation.

GPT programmes, which are websites that allow you to earn rewards for doing things like surveys, microtasks, watching movies, shopping, and more, may also offer paid surveys.

Companies around the world launch new and/or existing products and services. They spend hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars on advertisement. These “advertising efforts” can be a complete waste of time and money if the company does not conduct sufficient market research.

Thus, it makes sense for a company to find out your opinion of its products or services before investing money and time. This is where the market research surveys come into play, and that’s the reason why your opinion is so valuable.

Some panels are open to teenagers aged 13 to 17, while others are only open to adults. It really depends on the survey site and the location.

All legitimate paid survey sites take official consent from parents before conducting any surveys from Children. It’s a legal requirement in many countries.

Paid survey is a legitimate way for companies to get public feedback about their products and services. Branded Surveys, Toluna, Swagbucks, LifePoints, OnePoll, i-Say (IPSOS), InboxPounds, PopulusLive, Opinion Outpost, and Valued Opinions are just a few of the best survey sites.

I can tell you from personal experience that many paid survey sites are not legitimate.

Survey Legit offer lists of ONLY Legit paid survey sites that are personalized to your country and ranked based on user reviews. Visit our survey rankings to see a list of such websites.

However, I can tell you that there are many legitimate survey sites because I’ve been completing internet surveys and getting paid for over 04 years. For taking surveys, these companies DO compensate you with cash or gift cards.

While taking paid surveys isn’t a quick way to get rich, it does provide a nice complement to my regular income.

Paid online surveys help me buy the extra stuff that I would rather not, which I like.

Of course, not all online survey websites are legitimate, so do your homework. However, everyone has access to a plethora of legitimate online survey sites we have posted on SurveysLegit.

When people hear about generating money online, the first word that comes to mind is SCAM – and this is a valid assumption to make.

While there are fraudulent survey sites, there are also reputable online survey sites. Below, you’ll find instructions on how to take paid surveys on reliable websites.

But why are you being compensated for doing surveys? Because survey websites are an effective tool for companies to perform market research.

Companies are eager to conduct paid market surveys online and pay you for surveys in order to avoid the cost of conducting large-scale surveys in other ways.

The companies who do this research recognise the importance of your time and opinion, which is why they pay you to participate in online surveys!

Short answer: This depends on how much time you want to devote to the survey sites.

If you sign up for all of the companies on our paid survey list, I estimate that you can earn $50 to $100 extra per month just getting started, and much more if you are prepared to dedicate more than a few hours per week to conducting surveys.

Some of our readers have reported making $50 to $100 per month from only one paid survey site.

You will make more money if you sign up for more survey sites.

The amount you earn from paid surveys will vary greatly depending on the week. You will receive a slew of surveys over the course of a few weeks. Other weeks, there were fewer surveys.

When taking a paid survey, keep in mind that you will not always be paid in the same way.

Some survey sites accept PayPal, some accept bank transfers, and still, others accept checks. Some paid sites even provide surveys that pay out in cash right now.

PayPal:

You can use PayPal to make online purchases or to send money directly to your bank account. This is my prefered method of earning money through paid surveys.

Bank Transfer:

To make a bank transfer, you must first register your bank account with the paid survey site so that a direct transaction may be made. Receiving money via PayPal is often faster than receiving money by bank transfer, however, some of the finest survey websites only provide this option.

Cheque:

The final method of payment but it’s the least popular these days due to technological advancement. I occasionally choose to receive a cheque, despite the fact that this is time-consuming and the number of online survey sites that offer this option is decreasing.

In my personal survey experience, it depends on the survey site. Let’s have a look:

Some survey sites have a $5 or $20 minimum payout requirement, while others have none. Each survey site is different but be assured that all of the ones we post on SurveysLegit pay!

Most paid survey sites require you to submit an ID before paying your survey rewards, which might take anywhere from 1 to 10 days (some are faster than others). This often delays the survey payments.

Some paid survey sites use paper checks, while others use PayPal. I have explained this in detail in my survey reviews such as InboxDollars, LifePoints, Survey Junkie and Branded Surveys.

After you’ve created your account, go to the payments/account screen to check what payment options are available.

While online survey sites pay you whatever you’ve earned that month. Some immediately, while survey sites after 30 days.

You’ve been disqualified from taking a survey if you see messages like ‘quota full’ or ‘sorry you are not eligible to complete this survey.’

This occurs when your demographics don’t exactly match what the survey administrator is looking for, or when the way you answered the screener questions indicates that you aren’t part of the intended population for the survey.

For example, a corporation might want to survey ladies aged 35 to 50 who are planning to buy a new car within the next two years. You may be screened out or disqualified from participating in a survey if you are not a member of this cohort.

When you have an open-response question during a paid survey, avoid giving one-word replies because you’ll be disqualified from taking the entire survey.

At the least, a couple of sentences will demonstrate that you’ve read each question carefully and are taking the time to respond thoughtfully and thoroughly.

Representative sample seeking

Companies frequently seek responses from diverse groups. For example, they might seek the equal representation of men and women.

As soon as enough women or men finish their survey, anyone else trying to access it will be denied until the survey is removed.

Answers don’t add up

Paid survey sites may offer qualifying questions to see if you fit their profile (ex: do you own a car?). If they don’t, you’ll be filtered out for lack of focus and seriousness. After all, the website owes its clients accurate results.

You can’t always be the client’s ideal demographic. Hence the disqualifications.

It is mostly surveys site-specific. While some paid survey sites accept surveys from any device, others may mention device compatibility in their e-mailed survey invitations.

Consider installing a paid surveys app if you’d rather take surveys from your phone. Market research organisations typically offer these apps, and all surveys conducted via them will be mobile-compatible.

A focus group research method is a group interview with a limited number of persons who are demographically similar or who share other common features or experiences.

Survey panels regularly offer focus groups, both in-person and online. If you’re interested in discovering which sites offer these, you can easily find paid surveys by country.

Typically, product testing involves delivering a product to your home, which you will be asked to ‘test’ and provide comments on.

Almost any product, from food to beauty to a small appliance, is a potential for product testing.

The first step is to make sure that you are reasonable and patient. If a survey panel promises to pay members within three weeks, but it’s been three weeks since your request, give it a few more days… Even the postal service has an impact on how long it takes to obtain a reward!

Check if this site is mentioned on Surveys Legit. Note that I don’t include all paid surveys sites because sometimes the survey site is reasonable, but their customer service is terrible, so I avoid recommending that here.
